Mothers Day
Mother's Day is a day in which all children both young and old come together to celebrate, honour and appreciate their mothers whether they are living under the same roof as us or not with us anymore. The question is, why do we need to appreciate our mothers? Well, there are far too many reasons to list and we're sure that everyone else knows that as well, but one of the most important reasons that we would like to highlight is that our mothers have sacrificed so much in order to raise us up and make sure that we'll have a happy life i the future. Not just that, our mothers had to endure all the pain just to give us a chance to live! They're the reason we all have a chance to live life to the fullest. I think that mothers deserve our appreciation and gratitude. We should definitely thank them for bringing us into this world and not to mention their constant love towards us. Therefore, even though mother's day is over, we advice you to go thank your mum and give her hug because she deserves it. For this sub-project, our members celebrated mother's day with their mothers and let them know how much we love our mums. We have included things that we did for mother's Day and also our thoughts on it so maybe this could inspire you for the next Mother's Day or even as a special way of showing your appreciation towards your mother .
Our stories

Mothers work everyday of the year for their family, they don't have any actual 'day-off'. So on mothers day why not at least try giving her a day off? Take her out to her favorite place, treat her, buy her gifts, or why not just spend some quality time with her. The point is to be kind to your mother. So that's exactly what I did. I took my mom out for the day, treated Mom at her favourite restaurant, then went to her best friend's place so that she can have a good time by just talking and relaxing. Next we went shopping and obviously women take hours to shop, so it was already night by the time we returned home. Needless to say My mom was happy and full of all these emotions at the end of the day. Which child wouldn't want to see their Mom feel so much loved. So why only on mothers day? Do it everyday if you will. Show her appreciation and love. Because only a mother can truly love her child unconditionally.

Every year during Mother's Day, my mom would always say "I don't need gifts. I just want moments that I can remember forever." So this year, my sister and I decided to spend the whole day with our mom. We do spend quality time with her on a weekly basis, but today it felt extra special. We made her an American style breakfast in the morning (unfortunately I do not have a picture of that). After that, we took her out for lunch and dinner at her favorite restaurants.

My mother plays a big role in my life and has been one of my rolemodels in life . She has a big heart and is a women of God . I wouldn't be who i am today without her so to thank her for all that she's done for me i decided to make a flower craft for her since she likes flowers plus these flowers won't wilt so it would last forever . My family and i also brought her out for dinner at her favourite restaurant . Though these may seem like simple gestures of showing my thankfulness towards my mother but it gives a huge impact cause it comes from the heart and that matters more than the glitters and gold in the world cause in the end all our mothers ever wanted was what's best for us and also to be appreciated by their children.

To give birth to us, mothers experience a long duration as much as 10 months to endure the pain we give them in the womb. But that's not only the only pain children give our mothers. Throughout our years of growth, we would fall, cry, get rebellious and say hurtful words to our mothers. The pain we give mothers exist from every hurtful thing we experience or say to her. it is never-ending. Some of the pain are even deeply buried inside our mothers' mind, no matter what we think, whether time has removed that memory from her. My siblings and I greatly acknowledge that and we do feel guilty every time we make our mother sad or angry. Hence on this special day, we made mum an apple crumble cake (considering mum doesn't eat eggs((I still don't know why!))) to celebrate Mother's Day. Mum, we love you! We appreciate everything you had done for us- giving up her career to take care of us full-time, the delicious meals you made, the awesome snacks and pastries you bake from time to time. Thank you for everything.

My mom is a very hardworking person, she has to juggle between two jobs. First being a mother, and next her actual job. If you ask me about my mom, all I can say that she is a strong woman. On Mother’s Day, I brought my mom to her favorite restaurant ‘Rakuzen’. Knowing my mom, she really loves Japanese food so why not bring her there. Everything was paid by me. It’s not every day I pay for my mom’s meals.

Every midnight on the Second Sunday of May, My sister and I would creep into our parents' room and surprise our mother with handmade cards and a few slices of cake. It has become a 'tradition' for us to celebrate not just mother's day but any family-oriented celebration like this. This year, we decided to hang a homemade banner on our mom's cupboard while asking her not to look. xD I like it how my mom puts up with all our nonsense and us screaming "Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!!!" the moment the clock strikes Twelve and we barge in. To me, my mom is one of the most important people in my life, not only does she sacrifice so much for both her children, she also ensures that my sister and I are both in the pink of health, and if not, she'd always nurse us back to good health and in turn, fall sick herself. I do admit that sometimes i do take my mother for granted, and that I regret doing so very much after that. But despite all my actions, my mother still ensures that I have a happy life. I want to tell my mom that I couldn't have asked for a better mother than her, and honestly she really is the best and only mom for me. I'll do my best to be the best daughter for her as well, and make her proud so that her efforts and sacrifices don't go to waste. mummy, i love you and happy mother's day! Don't cry when you read this, yeahhh? :') <3
